Official evidence comes first

- State regulators, governing boards, and recognized accreditors
- Institutional announcements, board records, and teach-out notices
- Reputable reporting when a primary notice is unavailable
Institution closures, campus closures, program actions, accreditation decisions, and workforce reductions remain separate. Missing impact figures are not estimated.
Every consequential claim should be checkable
Records retain their date, scope, evidence type, and original source. Names alone are not used to join federal institution records when a reliable identifier is available. Watchlist signals describe public evidence and are never presented as closure predictions.
